Mold Inspection & Testing FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Helpful answers about mold inspection and testing in Los Angeles.
How much does a mold inspection in Los Angeles cost?
Pricing depends on property size and whether lab testing is included. We provide a written quote up front.
How long does a mold inspection take?
Most residential inspections take 1–2 hours on-site. Larger or commercial properties may take longer.
How long do lab results take?
Most lab results return in 3–5 business days. Rush turnaround is sometimes available.
What's the difference between mold inspection and mold testing?
Inspection is a visual and moisture assessment. Testing collects samples for laboratory analysis.
Do I need both inspection and testing?
Not always. Visible growth that's clearly mold and limited in scope may not need lab testing. We'll advise based on what we see on-site.
What is air sampling?
We collect a known volume of air across a spore trap cassette and compare indoor levels to an outdoor baseline.
What is swab or surface testing?
We collect a sample from a specific suspect surface for lab identification of the mold species present.
When should I test after a leak?
If wet materials weren't dried within 24–48 hours, schedule an inspection. Mold can begin growing within that window.
Do you do remediation?
No. We focus only on inspection and testing — keeping our role independent and objective.
What is post-remediation verification (clearance)?
Independent testing after remediation to confirm cleanup was successful and the area is safe to return to service.
Will I get a written report?
Yes. Every inspection includes a written report with photos, findings, and clear recommendations.
Do you serve my neighborhood?
